Single PCB version of Geforce GTX295 announced

Although Nvidia unveiled the single-PCB reference design for their most powerful video card (GTX295), no one actually produced one - until now. Today Inno3D announced Inno3D GTX295 Platinum - the first single-PCB Geforce GTX295.

gtx295

As you probably already know, Geforce GTX295 is currently Nvidia's most powerful video card, featuring two 55nm GT200 chips, 1792MB GDDR3 memory and a 896-bit memory interface (actually there are two 448-bit ones). It consumes 289W of power. The specs stayed same as with the double-PCB version.

This new card will have better cooling using two heat-pipe heatsinks and one fan. Half of warm air will get blown directly out the case, whereas the other half will stay inside.
